Bengaluru: TUV Rheinland, a global leader in independent testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, has solidified its commitment to India’s industrial and skills transformation with a landmark visit by its Group CEO, Dr-Ing. Michael Fübi.
During his visit, TUV Rheinland India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Generation India Foundation (GIF), a global non-profit focused on workforce development.

The partnership will deploy the proven Generation Methodology to implement high-impact, job-ready skilling programs targeting underserved youth across India. The initial focus will be on roles like Solar PV Installer, integrating international certifications, industry-led training, and direct employment pathways.
“India is not just a growing market; it’s a strategic hub for the future of global quality, sustainability, and skills development,” said Dr. Fübi.
“This partnership underscores our mission to equip Indian professionals with globally recognized skills aligned with industry 4.0 and environmental goals.”
This collaboration supports Project AMBER 2, a flagship initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY 4.0). As an Implementing Agency, TUV Rheinland India will provide certified trainers, access to laboratories, and classroom infrastructure at training centers nationwide.

Dr. Fübi also participated in the TIC Council Summit in New Delhi in his role as President of the TIC Council, the global body representing testing and certification organizations. His presence underscored India’s increasing influence in shaping global quality and compliance standards.
“India has emerged as a vital growth engine for TÜV Rheinland – not only because of its domestic potential, but also its evolving leadership in the global quality and innovation ecosystem,” Dr. Fübi noted.
